Hey y'all and G'day mate!

Let’s face it, everyone dreams of going to exotic places. Four years ago, traveling was just a fantasy for us also.  It is just a dream for a lot of people, but fortunately for us, we found a way to make it a reality.

We started documenting our travels, hoping to inspire others to add these amazing places to their bucket list. After traveling to 20 countries, we have a lot of tips and advice to offer. We also have amazing photos and videos that would give anyone a major case of wanderlust.

I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Shanna Truscott, and my husband is, Rhys Truscott. Believe me, we have been in the same position as you. Dreaming of traveling, but not knowing where or how to start.

I started my travels in 2014 when I went abroad with my best friend Becky, to travel the east coast of Australia. This is the reason I met, and fell in love with Rhys. When I returned to America, I realized I was not happy with working and going to school full time. The travel bug bit me after my first trip abroad. One day I had an epiphany of how I was tired of living “The American Dream”, and how I wanted to go and experience what the world really had to offer.

I did hours, which turned into days and weeks of research. Finally, in January of 2015, I set off on the adventure of a lifetime. I had my 80-liter backpack, a one-way ticket, and a wanderlust that couldn’t be denied. After spending 6 amazing months in SE Asia (Dubai, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Indonesia), my heart was set on going back to Australia to obtain my working holiday visa. In July of 2015 I moved to a little beach town outside of Melbourne, Australia. I was blessed to live the beach life for a year, and got to experience a wide range of job opportunities. I even got to check going to Fiji off my bucket list, while living there.

Rhys and I left Australia in July of 2016 to travel Europe for 45 days (Greece, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Romania), before returning to America to get married in Las Vegas. We currently reside in Texas, and are exploring cool places around America, Central America, and Canada. Our motto is “Work hard, but play harder and travel as much as possible”.  Which is exactly what we do, and hope to influence you to do the same.
